EVANGELIZING UX

People are curious about UX and I enjoy any opportunity to help anyone understand it better. Evangelizing UX can involve presentations and workshops but can be as basic as explaining the design of everyday things when we encounter them together.

A parking payment machine that people can't understand, an office kitchen layout that causes people to bump into each other while getting coffee, these are examples of common things that affect people and can benefit from better design.

I regularly present on topics of UX at casual lunch and learn sessions in the office and to different groups around the company. I feel very rewarded when people encounter problems in real life and then tell me they were able to understand the issues because of a topic we covered. Even better when a colleague finds a way to improve the experience of our product.

When the people around you understand UX you can build great things together.
